Job Summary:
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including split ACs, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation units.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as per scheduled plans.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs.
- Check refrigerant levels, pressure, compressors, motors, belts, filters, thermostats, and controls.
- Ensure proper functioning of ducts, insulation, airflow, and ventilation systems.
- Maintain logs, service reports, and maintenance records.
- Follow safety standards, company SOPs, and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when required.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and after-hours maintenance calls.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and spare parts are properly handled and maintained.
Qualifications & Experience:
- DAE / Diploma in Mechanical, HVAC, or Refrigeration (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant HVAC maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical controls.
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
- Experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, malls, or residential projects is an advantage.
