Job Summary

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across the animal protein manufacturing facility. The role ensures precise temperature, humidity, and air-quality control to support production processes, storage areas, laboratories, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesHVAC Operations & Maintenance

  • Operate, maintain, and service HVAC, ventilation, and refrigeration systems across production, storage, and office areas
  • Ensure controlled temperature and humidity levels critical for animal protein processing, fermentation, drying, and storage
  • Monitor air circulation, filtration, and exhaust systems to maintain hygiene and odor control

Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of chillers, AHUs, ducts, compressors, and refrigeration units
  • Diagnose and rectify HVAC system failures to minimize production downtime
  • Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and spare part usage

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure HVAC systems comply with food safety, GMP, HACCP, and environmental regulations
  • Follow safety protocols while handling refrigerants, electrical components, and mechanical systems
  • Support audits related to plant hygiene, temperature control, and ventilation systems

Energy & Efficiency Management

  • Optimize HVAC system performance for energy efficiency and cost reduction
  • Identify opportunities to reduce power consumption and improve airflow efficiency

Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet process requirements
  • Supervise external HVAC vendors and contractors during installations or major repairs
  • Support plant expansion, equipment upgrades, and system modifications

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Understanding of temperature and humidity control in food or protein processing plants
  • Ability to read HVAC drawings, schematics, and P&ID diagrams
  • Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Awareness of food safety and hygiene requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
