HVAC Technician

Key Responsibilities

1. HVAC Validation Activities

• Perform HVAC validation activities in accordance with approved procedures.

• Verify that HVAC systems operate within specified and approved parameters.

2. Installation & System Inspection

• Inspect HVAC indoor and outdoor units for proper installation.

• Check mechanical and electrical components prior to and during validation activities.

3. Environmental Monitoring

• Measure and record environmental parameters including:

• Temperature

• Relative Humidity

• Differential Pressure

• Ensure readings remain within approved limits.

4. Airflow & Ventilation Checks

• Verify airflow direction within controlled areas.

• Check air change rates (ACH) as per approved requirements.

5. Filter & HEPA Support

• Inspect air filters including pre-filters, fine filters, and HEPA filters.

• Assist in HEPA filter integrity testing.

• Replace filters according to approved schedules.

6. System Performance Testing

• Operate HVAC systems and conduct performance testing.

• Monitor system stability during continuous operation.

7. Electrical & Mechanical Checks

• Inspect electrical connections and components.

• Measure and record running amperage.

• Check fan motors, blowers, and compressors for normal operation.

8. Drainage System Inspection

• Inspect and clean drain pans and drainage piping.

• Ensure no water leakage or blockage is present.

9. Documentation & Record Keeping

• Complete HVAC validation checklists and inspection forms.

• Accurately record test results and observations.

• Report any deviations or abnormal findings to supervisors.

10. Compliance & Safety

• Follow approved SOPs and Ministry of Health regulations.

• Comply with health, safety, and infection control requirements.

• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
