HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The role ensures all HVAC equipment operates efficiently and safely in compliance with company standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, split units, VRF systems).
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective maintenance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems.
• Ensure proper functioning of thermostats, controls, and sensors.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and service reports.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other technical staff for major repairs.
• Handle refrigerants in accordance with environmental regulations.

Requirements:

• Diploma / ITI / Technical certification in HVAC, Mechanical, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance (building/facility environment preferred).
• Good knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Physically fit and able to work in different environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with chillers and central plant systems.
• Knowledge of VRF/VRV systems.
• Certification in refrigerant handling (if applicable).
• Gulf/Qatar experience is an advantage.
