HVAC Technician

The HVAC Technician performs operation and maintenance of technical facilities, plants & equipment through Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for AHUs, FCUs, Pumps, and other such equipment, motors, lighting, power distribution etc.
• Preventive and Corrective maintenance works at site.
• Carries out modification or new installations as directed.
• Recommends purchase of critical spare parts and consumables in a timely manner.
• Delivers high quality, prompt and courteous facility management service to guests, co-workers.
• Reports accurately and timely to Supervisor about work completion or issues identified.
• Supervises Contractors on site and ensure quality of work performed is of the highest levels.
• Must be able to understand drawings, receive CMMS work orders, close out work orders
• Good knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC and BMS systems and standards, can manage technical issues in these systems.
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
• Good knowledge in HVAC and mechanical systems in plant rooms including but not limited to pumps and motors, plumbing systems, FCUs, VAV, VRF systems, precision AC units, AHU service and repairs, ducting and piping inspection, insulation and cladding repairs, various types of valves servicing and inspection including motorized valves. Can identify faulty bearings of equipment, replaces / repairs bearings, wear kits, impellers. Can diagnose issues in Chilled water systems, DX units, Split AC units, do basic repair of refrigerant leaks, replace ac compressors, brazing/welding of copper piping to seal leaks, check gas levels and re-charge.

Requirements:

• ITI certificate in Mechanical or HVAC Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in GCC.
• Must have worked on large commercial buildings.
• Technical knowledge of basic computer systems & MS Office.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
