HVAC Technician

HVAC Technician (full-time only)

Location: West Little Rock, Arkansas on-site 5-days a week role

Compensation : 40k-100K Salary + Full Benefits + 401k match

We are looking for a motivated HVAC Technician to help maintain its data center infrastructure in Little Rock, AR. The location is non-negotiable, and occasional (quarterly) travel to Chicago is expected. In this role, you will support the maintenance, operation, and optimization of critical systems within our data centers. As an HVAC Center Technician, you will work alongside experienced engineers to ensure the reliability, performance, and efficiency of critical infrastructure component including all mechanical electrical and plumbing systems at the facility. This is an excellent opportunity for technicians with some industry experience looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of critical systems such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and backup power systems.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and system audits to ensure equipment is functioning within specifications.
  • Work with senior engineers to implement upgrades, modifications, and system improvements.
  • Respond to and assist with emergency situations, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and any issues or resolutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including facility operations, IT, and security, to ensure data center uptime and efficiency.
  • Participate in training and development to improve technical knowledge and skillset in critical systems engineering.
  • Support data center infrastructure projects, assisting in system testing, installation, and commissioning of new systems or upgrades.
  • Manage IT Equipment – Racking and stacking, cabling, troubleshooting hardware issues

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of critical systems such as power distribution, HVAC, fire suppression, and backup generators.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the HVAC or Critical Systems Data Center Space
  • EPA Certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with data center operations and industry best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose issues with a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a variety of teams and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to be on call for after-hours emergencies and to work flexible hours when necessary.
