Career Opportunity – HVAC Technician

Location: NAFFCO Qatar

An HVAC Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. The technician ensures systems operate efficiently, safely, and according to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems including air conditioners, heaters, ventilation units, ductwork, thermostats, and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems.
• Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and filters.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Test HVAC systems for proper functioning and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and maintenance reports.
• Respond to emergency repair requests when required.
• Advise customers or facility managers on system operation and maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical diploma or certification in HVAC or Refrigeration Technology
• Experience of HVAC systems, refrigeration, and electrical controls
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Understanding of safety procedures and regulations
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Time management and problem-solving abilities
