Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, including inspections, diagnostics, and servicing.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC system issues, such as refrigerant leaks, faulty wiring, or component failures.
- Respond to service calls, providing timely and efficient resolutions.
- Provide detailed reports and documentation on all service work, including repairs, parts replaced, and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by explaining technical issues clearly and professionally.
- Oversee the installation of HVAC systems, ensuring they meet all specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct system commissioning, performance checks, and testing of all components.
- Ensure systems are fully operational and that all customer requirements are met.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with industry codes, regulations, and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Follow safe work practices, including lockout/tagout, proper handling of refrigerants, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Mentor and guide junior technicians, providing training and support as needed.
- Work closely with the service manager to ensure timely and efficient resolution of customer issues.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvement strategies.
- Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring availability of necessary components for efficient service operations.
- Place orders for parts and materials required for repairs and installations.
- Complete accurate service reports, documenting work performed, parts used, and time spent.
- Update customer records and maintenance logs regularly to track system health and service history.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Must be a graduate of at least 2-year vocational course in Air Conditioning and Cooling.
- Must have at least 4-year experience as a A/C Technician.
