You will be the HWIL COE IT&E Engineer responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of real-time, closed-loop Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) capabilities. Our team is focused on delivering high-quality electrical systems, and you will play a key role in ensuring the successful integration and testing of these systems.

What You Will Be Doing
As the HWIL COE IT&E Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems, including cable design, PCB layout, and integration of components
  • Troubleshooting hardware failures using lab equipment and electrical design tools such as SPICE, Altium, or similar software
  • Supporting the integration team in debugging electrical issues, including connectors, timing, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), and overall design reviews
  • Integrating stimulation equipment into the HWIL facility and testing electrical systems and subsystems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration, test, verification, and validation of electrical systems and subsystems

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience with electrical design, including cable design, PCB layout, and component integration
  • Knowledge of digital, analog, and radio frequency circuit designs and electronic components
  • Ability to use lab equipment to troubleshoot hardware failures
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Desired Skills:
  • Experience working with multi-disciplined teams, including systems engineers, software engineers, and mechanical engineers
  • Experience with HWIL real-time, closed-loop simulation and electrical design simulation tools
  • Familiarity with electrical design tools such as SPICE, Altium, or similar software
  • Experience with flight software integration and verification is a plus
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
