About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager of Leadership & Organizational Development, the Training and Development Specialist leads the facilitation of impactful training, including enterprise learning programs and custom engagements, supports maintenance of the Learning Management System, and fosters connection across the WVU community.

What You'll Do
-
Serves as facilitator for in-person and virtual training sessions across campus, delivering engaging, inclusive, and outcome-driven learning experiences.

Develops and delivers enterprise learning programs for a variety of audiences including new employees, individual contributors and leaders.

Collaborates with the Manager and LOD team members to develop and deliver custom engagements for large groups.

Evaluates program success using data, feedback, and surveys, and makes evidence-based recommendations for improvement.

Consults with HR teams and University leaders to assess needs and propose development solutions that address organizational goals.

Develops tools and resources related to performance management, feedback, onboarding, and appreciation.

Drives marketing and communication strategies that raise awareness of and participation in learning opportunities. Partners with the Strategic Communications and Marketing team to align communication and materials with WVU’s brand identity.

Promotes a culture of engagement at WVU by creating environments where connection is a natural outcome.

Supports maintenance of Learning Management System (Workday) and troubleshoots user issues.

Works closely with all LOD team members to ensure consistency across experiences.
