Assistant Manager: Data Scientist – Brand Research & Insights
Looking for candidates who can support the strategic marketers with advanced analytics, data-driven insights, predictive modeling, and AI-enabled solutions to elevate research, campaign strategy, and reporting. Someone with experience in data science, statistical modeling, data visualization, and marketing analytics—who is adept at turning complex data into actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate is collaborative, innovative, and eager to learn, with the ability to quickly adapt to changing business requirements and marketing priorities.
Key skills and professional experience:
- Overall, 7+ years’ experience with at least 5+ years of relevant data science, statistical analysis, or marketing analytics experience, ideally with exposure to U.S./Global marketers or professional services.
- Good knowledge of data science, machine learning, and AI concepts—including regression, clustering, predictive modeling, and data mining.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python and/or R, and proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, or similar).
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, with the ability to present complex analyses in intuitive graphical and tabular formats.
- Experience with Generative AI tools and techniques (e.g., large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-driven analytics) is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with survey programming platforms (Qualtrics, Decipher) and secondary research databases (EIU, EMIS, Gartner, IDC, etc.) is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize large datasets, spot trends, and draw logical inferences.
- Strong project management skills—ability to scope, plan, execute, and deliver analytics projects on time.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, with a proven ability to manage multiple activities and competing demands simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, able to translate technical findings into actionable business insights and present them to non- technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and quality, with a track record of ensuring data integrity and actionable recommendations.
Work you’ll do
As a Data Scientist, you will support marketing analytics, advanced research, and campaign strategy for various industries, markets, and functions. You will conduct deep-dive analyses, build predictive models, and generate actionable insights to inform marketing decisions and drive business growth. You’ll be expected to proactively identify new opportunities for data- driven marketing, quickly analyze information, spot exceptions or trends, and conduct required follow-up. You should be team-oriented, able to manage multiple projects, and comfortable collaborating with marketers, researchers, and leadership.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Advanced analytics and modeling:
o Develop and implement statistical models (e.g., regression, clustering, segmentation) and machine learning algorithms to extract insights from marketing, survey, and external data.
o Leverage Generative AI and other emerging technologies to enhance marketing research and campaign effectiveness.
o Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
o Create dashboards, infographics, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Marketing and business research:
o Analyze market, client, and competitor data to inform marketing strategy and campaign planning.
o Oversee brand data and analytics to identify emerging market trends and opportunities for Deloitte.
o Build strong relationships with marketers, researchers, and leadership to understand business needs and deliver impactful analytics solutions.
o Regularly interact with marketing teams to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
- Day-to-day responsibilities:
o Collaborating with teams leads to manage workflow, ensuring adequate resources, and supporting work requests.
o Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of analytics capabilities within the team.

The team
The Brand Research & Insights (BR&I) team is part of the broader Brand Marketing & Communications team. The USI BR&I team supports strategic marketers in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies and plans across industries, regions, and functions. The team provides a wide range of services, which help the Business Chief Marketing Officers, Strategic Marketers, and Partners, Principals, and Directors (PPDs) expand client relationships and build Deloitte’s presence and reputation in the market. It develops marketing and research-based insights through competitive intelligence reports, executive profiles, persona-based research, event analysis, research material, and marketing brochures to equip leadership teams to drive strategic initiatives and win business for the firm.
Qualifications
Required: Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics/
