Assistant Manager: Data Storyteller – Brand Research & Insights
Looking for candidates who can support our strategic marketers by transforming complex data into compelling narratives that inform marketing strategies, enhance decision-making, and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, storytelling, and visualization, with the ability to communicate insights effectively to diverse audiences. This role requires creativity, analytical thinking, and a collaborative spirit to work closely with marketers and leadership.
Key skills and professional experience:
- Overall, 7+ years’ experience in data analysis, storytelling, or a related field, with a focus on marketing or business analytics.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms, with the ability to create intuitive and impactful visual narratives.
- Strong storytelling skills—ability to craft clear, engaging, and actionable narratives from complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Understanding of marketing concepts and strategies, with the ability to relate data insights to business objectives.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Attention to detail and quality, ensuring accuracy and integrity in data storytelling and visualization.
Work you’ll do
As a Data Storyteller, you will transform complex data into compelling stories that inform marketing strategies and drive business decisions. You will collaborate with marketers, researchers, and leadership to understand business needs, analyze data, and create narratives that highlight key insights and opportunities. You’ll be expected to communicate findings in a clear, engaging manner, using visualizations and storytelling techniques to make data accessible and actionable.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Data storytelling and visualization:
o Develop and deliver compelling data narratives that communicate insights and inform marketing strategies.
o Create engaging visualizations and dashboards to present data in an intuitive and impactful way.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and tailor data stories to specific audiences.
- Data analysis and interpretation:
o Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
o Translate data findings into clear, concise narratives that drive strategic decision-making.
o Work with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accuracy and integrity
o Build strong relationships with marketers, researchers, and leadership to understand business needs and deliver impactful analytics solutions.
o Regularly interact with marketing teams to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
- Day-to-day responsibilities:
o Collaborate with team leads to manage workflow, ensure adequate resources, and support work requests.
o Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of storytelling and visualization capabilities within the team.

Shift timings: 11am – 8pm
The team
The Brand Research & Insights (BR&I) team is part of the broader Brand Marketing & Communications team. The USI BR&I team supports strategic marketers in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies and plans across industries, regions, and functions. The team provides a wide range of services, which help the Business Chief Marketing Officers, Strategic Marketers, and Partners, Principals, and Directors (PPDs) expand client relationships and build Deloitte’s presence and reputation in the market. It develops marketing and research-based insights through competitive intelligence reports, executive profiles, persona-based research, event analysis, research material, and marketing brochures to equip leadership teams to drive strategic initiatives and win business for the firm.
Qualifications
Required:
- Any Graduate degree
- MBA or an equivalent Master’s degree
- Experience in storytelling and insight generation
