Job Title: Hydraulic Technician

Department: Maintenance / Workshop Division
Location: Project Sites & Workshop – Projects Pioneer Contracting Company (PPCO), Saudi Arabia
Reports to: Workshop Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor

Job Purpose:

To perform troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and servicing of hydraulic systems, components, and equipment (heavy earthmoving machines, construction equipment, and vehicles) ensuring maximum efficiency, safety, and reliability to support PPCO projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot faults in hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders, motors, valves, hoses, and fittings.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic equipment used in heavy machinery, cranes, loaders, excavators, dozers, and other construction vehicles.
• Repair, overhaul, and replace defective hydraulic components ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards.
• Conduct hydraulic hose fabrication, fittings replacement, and leakage rectification.
• Read and interpret hydraulic circuit diagrams, service manuals, and technical drawings.
• Test and calibrate hydraulic systems after repair to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records for all hydraulic systems.
• Ensure proper usage of tools, equipment, and workshop safety procedures.
• Assist in training junior technicians/helpers on hydraulic maintenance practices.
• Coordinate with the Workshop Engineer and Project Team for urgent breakdown repairs at site.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Hydraulic, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hydraulic maintenance for heavy equipment and construction vehicles (Aramco/Neom/Sabic project experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic principles, troubleshooting methods, and safety standards.
• Ability to operate hydraulic test benches and specialized workshop tools.
• Familiar with OEM standards and technical documentation.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of safety rules and hazard prevention in hydraulic systems.
