    What you’ll do:

    Our team will be a hybrid of operational and engineering colleagues. Our operational team is responsible for fulfilling requests for accounts and access which are provisioned manually, ensuring adherence to our controls. Our engineering teams are responsible for the build, maintenance and improvement of our automated and self-service capabilities. Our intention is to progress colleagues from operations and small continuous improvement to be highly technical engineering resources, capable of designing and implementing fully automated and integrated tooling.

    We’re looking for engineers to join the Cloud Identity Services team. Core responsibilities for the role will focus on the provision (operate, support and maintain) of consumable identity and access management services supporting Cloud Enterprise Services and our internal customers- our value streams and application owners. The role’s primary function will be as a technical engineer, actioning IAM tasks, being involved in the evaluation and deployment of new IAM systems, and contribution to the Cloud Identity & Access Management community. In addition, the successful candidate will have sufficient technical capability to operate in a multi-cloud environment, off a pre-defined prioritised backlog, in line with change management processes. The engineer may be involved in the compilation of evidence for audit queries as well as being involved in incident response, and other ad-hoc activities.

    As IAM Identity Engineer – you will design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and tools, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions across Chief Security Office (CSO).

    Your key responsibilities will be.

    Key capabilities, knowledge, skills and experience

  • Experience working using Agile Methodologies will be an advantage, but a Growth Mindset and willingness to learn is essential.
  • Experience of working in an IT Security function maintaining security or identity and access management tooling. Identifying and providing recommendations to improve the existing processes and ways of working, with a view to eliminating waste and improving the customer experience.
    • Identifies shortcomings, then suggests and implements improvements to existing business practices.
    • Recommends ways to improve support for operations by changing policies, processes, standards, and practices.
    • Makes technical and/or professional recommendations that have a positive impact on the business.
  • Experience of using Confluence, Service Now and Jira (or similar tool) for day-to-day task management
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience via both written and verbal communication.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality automation solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and tools.
  • What you’ll need:

    Service & Identity Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Strong developer experience in SailPoint ISC (Identity Security Cloud) is required
  • DevOps, GCP / Azure, Kubernetes working experience required
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab) to deploy and manage IAM, cloud, and security configurations.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and/or PowerShell to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Good to have: Exposure to IAM tooling such as Saviynt, CyberArk, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience delivering or operating enterprise-scale technologies such as Google Cloud Identity, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), CyberArk, and Saviynt.
  • Hands-on experience in programming languages such as Java, Microservices will be an advantage.
  • Qualifications:

  • B. Tech or equivalent university Degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in an Identity & Access Management or IT Security function, ideally with one or more relevant Security qualifications (e.g. CISA, CISM, CISMP, CISSP) is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Experience in implementing IAM practices such as Role Based Access Controls, OAUTH, Single Sign On and Multi Factor Authentication.
