Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in IBM Mainframe technologies and deep expertise in the Cards & Payments domain. The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing engineering team, ensuring technical excellence, innovation, and timely delivery of solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Location: Cleveland, OH

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver high-quality software solutions in the Cards & Payments domain.

• Oversee development and maintenance of applications using IBM Mainframe Utilities, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

• Provide technical guidance on Endevor, VSAM, JCL, DB2, and COBOL.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mainframe components.

• Drive adoption of best practices in COBOL programming to enhance code quality and efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, security, and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

• Optimize resource allocation and project timelines for maximum efficiency.

• Engage with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

• Support team development through mentoring, training, and performance feedback.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• 9–12 years of experience in IBM Mainframe Utilities and related technologies.

• Proven expertise in Cards & Payments domain with successful project delivery.

• Strong hands-on experience with Endevor, VSAM, JCL, DB2, and COBOL.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

• Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process and performance improvement.
