You will be responsible for solution development, deployment, and integration of SevOne performance management product with third party technologies. This role includes systems administration, along with the development of reports and utilities (including dashboards, PHP scripting and threshold analysis and creation) that complement the SevOne product set. In addition, provides consultative guidance in network and infrastructure performance optimization to key customers. Complexity of role covers a broader spectrum at this level as well as completes role independently or with limited oversight.

  • Provides consulting expertise to clients in the areas of network and infrastructure optimization
  • Develops solutions, integrations, automations with third party technologies using REST APIs, PHP, Python, and/or Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Acts as SevOne Product Champion, coaching & mentoring customer on SevOne products and utilities
  • Works remotely or on-site in customer environments in collaboration with non-SevOne personnel
  • Provides guidance and assistance in installation & configuration of SevOne technology
  • Provides support in the development of integration test cases and guidance in the execution of the tests
  • Provides assistance in developing configurations appropriate to supporting products including devices and/or EMS’s
  • Monitors and tunes the system software to achieve optimum performance levels, efficiency and reliability
  • Diagnoses and resolves system software problems
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive system software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.
  • Develops and maintains run-books for all support purposes.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with all appropriate IT standards (eg. Security, Architecture, Project Delivery Methodology, SOX, etc.)
  • Responsible for ensuring that assigned projects are developed to the plan and timescales agreed. In addition, responsible for regular communication regarding progress as well as for proactively identifying and communicating any issue that arise through the project.
Provides guidance and assistance to other Engineers

Experience:
  • Scripting experience required in at least 2 of Python, PHP, Perl, JavaScript, and Jupyter Notebooks
  • 5 years network operations or engineering work experience with at least 2 years of tool integration experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of REST, JSON, APIs, XML
  • Extensive consulting experience in a network or infrastructure environment
  • RDBMS (preferably MySQL) experience is highly desired
  • Extensive experience administering and integrating network management systems is highly desired.
  • Extensive experience of full software development lifecycle (from analysis through development, test, delivery, in-service, disposal) is desirable
  • Extensive Linux and Unix, including shell, experience required
