Job Summary:

The role of a Technical Lead on an IBM Sterling migration project focuses on managing a specific function of the team, such as development, quality assurance, or data migration. This role combines technical expertise with strong leadership and project coordination skills.

  • Project Execution: Oversee and execute the team's assigned tasks, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and mentor a team of specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of tasks.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshoot complex issues that arise during development, testing, and migration.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for team-related activities, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Process Improvement: Enforce best practices, ensure adherence to coding standards, and proactively identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and processes.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Review and maintain project documentation, including technical specifications and progress reports.
  • Testing & Quality: Coordinate testing activities, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure the new system is reliable and bug-free.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a lead or senior role within a technical team.
  • Expertise in a specific area of the migration project (e.g., IBM Sterling development, data migration, quality assurance).
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams.
