ICN (Infection Control Nurse) & Nursing Superintendent:

Qualification:

· Basic B.Sc (Nursing)

· GNM

Responsibilities (ICN Nurse & Nursing Superintendent):

• Oversee and implement infection control programs and NABH-compliant protocols; maintain HAI and staff health records.
• Monitor housekeeping, biomedical waste management, PPE use, disinfectant procedures, hand hygiene, and water safety.
• Train and supervise all nursing and hospital staff on infection control, patient care, and safety standards.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols (IV/urinary catheter care, isolation policies, equipment cleaning) and NABH quality benchmarks.
• Notify communicable and notifiable diseases and coordinate with departments for infection control measures.
• Manage nursing operations, staffing, schedules, and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and NABH accreditation standards.
