ICT / Computer Teacher

Position Summary

The ICT / Computer Teacher is responsible for delivering effective instruction in information and communication technology, developing students’ digital literacy, computational thinking, and responsible use of technology. The teacher integrates technology into learning while following curriculum guidelines and school policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver ICT and Computer Science lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum
• Teach topics such as computer fundamentals, MS Office, coding basics, internet safety, and emerging technologies
• Develop lesson plans, practical activities, and assessments
• Conduct hands-on lab sessions and supervise students during practical work
• Assess and evaluate student performance through projects, tests, and assignments
• Promote digital citizenship, cyber safety, and ethical technology use
• Maintain computer lab discipline and ensure proper use of equipment
• Coordinate with IT staff for maintenance of computer systems and software
• Integrate technology tools into classroom instruction across subjects
• Keep records of attendance, assessments, and lab usage
• Participate in school events, training sessions, and professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience teaching ICT or Computer Studies is preferred

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of computer systems, software, and basic programming
• Familiarity with educational technology and smart classroom tools
• Effective classroom and lab management skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a student-friendly manner
• Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Primary / Middle / Secondary (as applicable)

Work Environment

• Classroom and computer laboratory setting
• Full-time position during the academic year

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
