Job Summary
The ICT design Engineer will support in the planning, design, coordination and delivery of ICT and ELV systems for medium–large scale developments. The role involves preparing design documentation & drawings, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with MHT delivery standards and contributing to project technical deliverables across all design stages
Key Responsibilities
Support the design of ICT networks including OSP telecom ducting system, structured cabling and security & ELV systems’ networks.
Prepare ICT/ELV design drawings such as layouts, schematics, risers, and single-line diagrams under lead supervision.
Assist in the design of ELV systems including CCTV, access control, PAVA, AV systems and smart systems’ interfaces.
Conduct quantity take-offs, BOQs, and basic design calculations for ICT/ELV systems.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, mechanical, architectural, and landscape teams to ensure proper space allocation and integration of ICT/ELV systems.
Participate in technical meetings, workshops, and design coordination sessions with stakeholders and authorities.
Prepare and update technical documentation including reports, presentations, specifications, schedules, and scope of work.
Ensure compliance with international & local standards and project-specific authority requirements.
Support the preparation of tender documents and IFC packages.
Assist in reviewing submissions, drawings and RFIs under the guidance of the Lead Engineer.
Track design inputs, comments, revisions, and ensure proper version control within the CDE (Common Data Environment).
Support multidisciplinary integration for ICT corridors, utility routing and ELV device placement.
Contribute to risk identification, design issue resolution, and ensuring constructability of the design.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, ICT Engineering, or related discipline. Master’s degree is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Understanding of ICT backbone and OSP design principles.
Knowledge of structured cabling, ELV systems, and ICT technologies.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and design tools.
Basic understanding of networks (LAN/WAN), IP addressing, network topologies and communication layers.
Knowledge of ICT/ELV standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC).
Certifications (Optional but Advantageous)
BICSI Technician or RCDD.
CCNA,CCDA or CCNP (basic networking understanding).
Any other certifications related to ICT, security or cabling systems.
