ICT Teacher

Job Summary

The ICT Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons on Information and Communication Technology to students, ensuring the integration of technology into teaching and learning. The role involves planning, implementing, and assessing ICT curriculum aligned with the school’s educational objectives and global best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver ICT lessons according to the school curriculum (Sindh Board / Cambridge / IB as applicable).
  • Teach fundamental computer skills, programming basics, internet safety, and digital literacy.
  • Prepare and maintain lesson plans, teaching aids, and digital content for effective learning.
  • Conduct practical sessions in the computer lab ensuring students’ hands-on learning.
  • Integrate technology into classroom teaching to enhance student engagement.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress through assignments, projects, and tests.
  • Maintain discipline and a safe learning environment during ICT sessions.
  • Update knowledge on emerging technologies and incorporate them into lessons.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to students for school projects.
  • Maintain ICT equipment, report malfunctions, and coordinate with IT support staff.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. B.Ed./M.Ed. preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of ICT teaching experience (Cambridge / O-Levels preferred).
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, internet tools, and basic coding (HTML, Scratch, Python preferred).
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms (Google Classroom, MS Teams, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
