Job Title: ICT Teacher (Information & Communication Technology)

Location: Nile Egyptian Schools (Specific Branch) Reports to: Head of Department / School Principal Department: ICT / STEAM

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated ICT Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and capable of delivering high-quality instruction that aligns with the Nile Egyptian Schools’ academic standards. You will be responsible for fostering digital literacy, computational thinking, and technical skills in students, preparing them for both academic success and future careers in a digital world.

Key Responsibilities

1. Instructional Planning & Delivery

  • Curriculum Delivery: Teach the designated ICT curriculum (Grade levels may vary) in accordance with NES and Cambridge standards.
  • Lesson Planning: Create engaging, differentiated lesson plans that cater to various learning styles, utilizing a mix of theoretical instruction and practical lab work.
  • Coding & Robotics: Introduce and guide students through programming concepts (e.g., Scratch, Python, HTML/CSS) and robotics activities where applicable.
  • Integration: Collaborate with teachers from other departments (Science, Math, English) to integrate technology into cross-curricular projects (STEAM approach).

2. Classroom & Lab Management

  • Environment: Maintain a safe, organized, and disciplined computer lab environment.
  • Resource Management: Ensure all hardware (computers, smartboards, robotics kits) and software are functioning correctly and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Digital Safety: Enforce policies regarding internet safety, cyberbullying, and responsible digital citizenship.

3. Assessment & Reporting

  • Evaluation: Design and administer quizzes, practical exams, and projects to assess student understanding.
  • Feedback: Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to aid their progress.
  • Records: Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance data using the school’s Learning Management System (LMS).

4. Professional Development

  • Stay updated with the latest trends in educational technology and pedagogy.
  • Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development workshops.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A postgraduate teaching diploma or certification is highly preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an International or Language School setting.
  • Experience with the Cambridge International Curriculum is a significant asset.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge of programming languages suitable for schools (e.g., Scratch, Python, Java).
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and interactive smartboard technology.

Language Skills:

  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken) is mandatory, as it is the medium of instruction.
