Core Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and implement lessons covering digital literacy, computer science fundamentals, and information technology applications.
- Practical Instruction: Lead hands-on sessions in the computer lab, teaching students how to effectively use productivity software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and creative tools.
- Coding & Logic: Introduce students to basic programming logic and languages suitable for their developmental stage (e.g., Scratch, Python, or HTML/CSS).
- Digital Citizenship: Educate students on internet safety, cyber ethics, and the responsible use of digital platforms.
- System Maintenance: Work in coordination with the IT department to ensure lab equipment is functional and that school ERP systems are utilized effectively for academic reporting.
- Assessment: Design and conduct practical and theoretical assessments to monitor student progress against Cambridge benchmarks.
Candidate Specifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BCS), Information Technology (BIT), or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Proven experience teaching ICT in a Cambridge-aligned school.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, school management software, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Administrative Diligence: Ability to maintain organized digital records of student performance and curriculum planning.
