Job Title: ICU Incharge
Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Roles:
- Lead and Supervise ICU Operations
- Manage day-to-day activities in the ICU ensuring smooth workflow and coordination among staff.
- Ensure high standards of patient care are maintained.
- Patient Care Oversight
- Monitor critically ill patients and ensure appropriate treatment protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with doctors and specialists to implement patient care plans.
- Staff Management
- Supervise nurses, technicians, and support staff in the ICU.
- Conduct training sessions and performance reviews.
- Assign tasks and ensure staff are competent and equipped to handle emergencies.
- Equipment and Resource Management
- Ensure ICU equipment like ventilators, monitors, and other devices are in proper working condition.
- Oversee the maintenance and procurement of medical supplies.
- Compliance and Safety
- Ensure all infection control, hygiene protocols, and safety standards are followed.
- Maintain patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality.
- Communication and Reporting
- Provide timely updates to patients’ families regarding medical conditions.
- Report critical cases and unusual incidents to hospital administration.
- Act as a liaison between ICU staff, patients, and management.
- Administrative Duties
- Prepare reports related to patient care, equipment status, and staff performance.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and budgeting for ICU resources.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the ICU team.
- Ensure proper assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
- Maintain ICU equipment and ensure availability of necessary supplies.
- Implement hospital policies and protocols effectively.
- Ensure infection control and maintain hygiene standards.

- Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients’ families.
