- Constant Patient Monitoring: Perform frequent "head-to-toe" physical assessments and monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels) as often as every 15 minutes.
- Advanced Equipment Management: Operate and troubleshoot life-support systems, including mechanical ventilators, cardiac monitors, dialysis machines, and infusion pumps.
- Medication Administration: Calculate and administer complex intravenous (IV) medications, including the titration of critical "drips" (vasoactive drugs) based on the patient's immediate physiological response.
- Emergency Response: Lead or assist in "Code Blue" situations, performing CPR, defibrillation, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a team of intensivists, therapists, and pharmacists to implement and adjust individualized care plans.
- Documentation & Charting: Maintain meticulous and hourly records of patient vitals, fluid intake/output, and reactions to treatments in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Family Support & Education: Act as the primary link between the medical team and the family, providing updates on the patient’s condition and explaining complex medical procedures.

- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
