The responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications and treatments, managing life support systems, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Patient Care:Assesses and monitors critically ill patients, including vital signs, oxygen saturation, and neurological status.
  • Medication Management:Administers medications and treatments, including IV fluids and medications, according to physician orders.
  • Life Support Management:Manages and monitors mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and other life support systems.
  • Emergency Response:Responds promptly and effectively to medical emergencies and provides life-saving interventions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:Collaborates with physicians, other nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Documentation:Maintains accurate and detailed patient records, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment progress.
  • Patient and Family Education:Provides information and support to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment, and prognosis.
  • Ongoing Professional Development:Pursues ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance their skills.
  • Infection Control:Follows strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
  • Other Duties:May assist with diagnostic procedures, perform wound care, and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
