Job Title: IELTS InstructorJob Summary

The IELTS Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality IELTS preparation classes, equipping students with the language skills, test strategies, and confidence required to achieve their target band scores. The role involves teaching all four IELTS modules—Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking—while providing personalized feedback and progress tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured IELTS preparation classes for Academic and/or General Training modules
• Teach all four components: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking
• Explain IELTS exam format, scoring criteria, and time-management strategies
• Design and administer mock tests , practice exercises, and assessments
• Provide detailed feedback on writing tasks and speaking performances
• Develop lesson plans aligned with Cambridge IELTS standards
• Identify individual student weaknesses and tailor support accordingly
• Track student progress and maintain performance records
• Prepare students for real exam conditions and interview scenarios
• Stay updated with latest IELTS exam trends and changes
• Maintain a positive, motivating, and disciplined classroom environment
• Support students with exam registration guidance when required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (English, Linguistics, Education, or related field preferred)
• IELTS Band 7.5 or above (8.0+ preferred)
• Recognized teaching certification (TESOL / TEFL / CELTA preferred)
• Proven experience teaching IELTS or English language courses

Skills & Competencies

• Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation
• In-depth knowledge of IELTS assessment criteria
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse learners
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
• Student-focused, result-oriented teaching approach
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms (Zoom, LMS) is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years of IELTS teaching experience preferred
• Experience with international students is an advantage

Work Environment

• Classroom-based, online, or hybrid teaching model
• Flexible schedules including evening or weekend classes (if required)
