The Role

Our newly established Insights & Intelligence team is a global group of innovators and data experts, dedicated to revolutionising talent services through the power of data. Together, we uncover our clients' unique needs and translate them into actionable insights, empowering Talent Acquisition teams to excel.

Our Principal Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving decision-making at AMS by leveraging comprehensive analysis of operational and external data sets. The team’s core mission is to uncover actionable insights that optimise operational performance and forecast future trends, empowering AMS to stay ahead in a dynamic environment.

Key Accountabilities

Things you will do:

  • Delivers continuous improvement or innovation projects and contributes to strategic programmes.
  • Based on data analysis conducted, provides recommendations about future data analysis which could provide value to AMS.
  • Delivers actionable and comprehensive data analysis that directly improves internal AMS operations as well as decision-making. Ensures that all data driven insights are timely, accurate, and align with agreed requirements.
  • Enables AMS teams to make informed workforce planning and hiring decisions through the delivery of accurate forecasts and trend analysis.
  • Collaborates with the Implementation Team during design, build, testing, and stabilisation to produce project deliverables. Supports and helps ensure a smooth handover to relevant I&I Hub teams.
  • Ensures high-quality, accurate, and timely ad-hoc reporting and projects are delivered to internal stakeholders. Ensures reports are delivered in line with requirements agreed.
  • Mentors junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practice.
  • Ensure high levels of stakeholder satisfaction by delivering data analysis and reports that meet or exceed expectations, contributing to the growth and enhancement of long-term client relationships.
  • Deliver impactful data analysis and ad-hoc reports that could be used to further expand our client partnerships and drive operational efficiencies.


Skills & Experience

You’ll need to demonstrate:


Delivers continuous improvement or innovation projects and contributes to strategic programmes.
  • Based on data analysis conducted, provides recommendations about future data analysis which could provide value to AMS.
  • Performs descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analysis to understand past performance, current status, and future possibilities, using internal client operational data, AMS aggregate data, and external market data.
  • Interprets trends and compiles and forecasts using client operational, ATS, HRIS, and other datasets where possible to make predictions about activity levels or volumes and hiring conditions.
  • Gathers comprehensive requirements in order to understand stakeholders’ needs, goals, and measures of success.
  • Regularly revisits requirements and assumptions to ensure alignment throughout the project.
  • Proactively reaches out to stakeholders with insights or recommendations that might benefit them, even if they fall outside of the standard reporting cycle.
  • Solicits feedback from stakeholders on each report to continuously improve future deliverables.
