Location: Rockford, IL
Pay Rate: $55.00 $60.00/hr
Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Experience: Minimum 2 years

About the Role

We are hiring experienced Float Pool RNs for a 13-week contract in Rockford, IL. This role is ideal for an RN with ICU, cardiac telemetry, step-down, and med-surg experience who is comfortable floating across multiple hospital units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across ICU, Step-Down ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Medical Surgical, and related units
• Float to Medical Surgical units when needed
• Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and facility policy
• Develop and follow individualized patient care plans
• Monitor patient safety, clinical status, and changes in condition
• Use critical thinking and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Educate patients and families as needed
• Document care accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ICU experience required
• Extensive cardiac experience required
• Telemetry, Step-Down, Med-Surg, Stroke Neuro, or CPCU experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• EPIC experience preferred
• Must be willing to float to Medical Surgical units as needed
• Holiday coverage required
