Job Description and Performance Standards
Title: Imaging Transporter 554203506
Department: Imaging
Reports To: Imaging Manager
Transports imaging patients of all age populations throughout the hospital, maintains transport equipment, and contributes to the efficient operation of the department. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development and assess data reflective of the patient’s current status in relation to their age specific needs.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
Licensure: Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or equivalent training, CPR Required.
Experience: Prior experience is not required, on-the-job training.
Skills: Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization. Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs that are age appropriate. Ability to select proper instrumentation/supplies appropriate for age group of patient served. Must be CPR certified.
Worker must adjust to performing routine, repetitive tasks under specific supervision. Worker will be performing in a radiation area.
Worker is required to be on their feet most of day and work is moderately heavy. Extensive amounts of assisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting patients
are required. Coordination in required to push wheelchair and stretcher throughout hospital maneuvering in and out of the patient's room, elevators,
and departmental rooms without jarring or bumping the patient. Worker must be able to adjust routine to accommodate patient or department
without affecting departmental flow. Worker will be exposed to blood, body fluids, and potentially hazardous chemicals.
