Immigration Administrator

Job Overview:

The Immigration Administrator has established Immigration skills to perform various day-to-day activities. The Immigration Administrator can recognize and solve typical Immigration problems with limited supervisory approval. Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file immigration applications, including work permits, visas, permanent residency petitions, and other relevant documents, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Liaise with employees, HR representatives, and project managers to gather necessary documentation and information for immigration processes
  • Monitor immigration statuses and expiration dates, taking proactive steps to ensure timely renewals and extensions
  • Stay current with changes in immigration regulations and procedures in various countries, and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders
  • Respond to immigration inquiries from employees and managers, providing guidance and support throughout the immigration lifecycle
  • Coordinate with external immigration counsel and government agencies to resolve any issues and ensure smooth processing of applications
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date immigration records within the company's HRIS and tracking systems
  • Assist with immigration compliance audits and reviews, and support the implementation of any required corrective actions
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of internal immigration policies and procedures
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance expertise in global immigration practices

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration administration, with a strong understanding of global immigration laws and processes
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS/immigration tracking systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
