**Job Description:**

• Oversee and provide legal representation in all types of immigration cases, including removal proceedings, affirmative applications and appellate work.
• Ensure timely submission and high-quality work for all cases.
• Attend Master Calendar Hearings and Merits Hearings.
• Provide continuous support to the immigration team through regular engagement, case assistance, and mentorship.
• Prepare and review petitions, motions and supplemental evidence packets for EOIR
• Participate in weekly staff meetings

Administrative Work:

• Maintain accurate and complete notes of all case-related activities in Docketwise.
• Participate in annual planning processes, develop work plans, and provide feedback throughout the year.

Reviewing Cases:

• New Case Review: Assessing the complexity of a case and be able to use the research tools available to them.
• Ongoing Case Supervision: Regularly checking in on ongoing cases, especially those that are complex or have upcoming court dates.
• Staff Work Review: Reviewing the work products of paralegals to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Court Case Review: Providing additional scrutiny to cases that are going to court to ensure all arguments are well-prepared and supported by evidence.
• Completed Work Review: Ensuring that all final documents and applications are thoroughly reviewed before filing.

**Experience:**

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

- Admission to any state bar association (VA preferred but not required)

- Proven experience in legal drafting and litigation

- Proficiency in using legal research tools

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
