Immigration Paralegal

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in immigration law and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills. This role involves supporting attorneys in managing immigration cases, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Immigration Paralegal will play a critical role in facilitating the smooth operation of our law office while providing excellent administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of immigration applications and petitions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research
  • Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including contracts, motions, and briefs.
  • Manage case files using document management systems such as Clio.
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry and filing of case documents.
  • Coordinate with clients for interviews and gather necessary information for cases.
  • Support project management tasks to ensure timely completion of legal projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case status while maintaining phone etiquette.
  • Collaborate with team members on various legal matters including family law and probate law.
  • Assist in litigation preparation by organizing case materials and conducting document reviews.

Qualifications

  • Proven paralegal experience in immigration law or related fields such as family law is preferred.
  • Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting and transcription.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in legal case management and document review processes.
  • Strong clerical experience with attention to detail in data entry and filing tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong interviewing skills to effectively gather client information. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
