Job Overview
:
The I
MOS Software Developer / IMOS Product Library Engineer
is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing ABYAT’s product libraries within IMOS. The role ensures seamless integration between design, engineering, CNC production, and factory operations.
This position transforms approved product concepts into fully parametric, production-ready IMOS solutions that reduce errors, improve production speed, and maximize machine utilization and factory efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

IMOS Product Library Development

Build, maintain, and continuously improve parametric product libraries in IMOS for the following categories:
-
Kitchens
-
Wardrobes
-
Beds
-
TV Units
-
Vanities
-
Laundry Units
-
Bookshelves
-
Wall Cladding
-
Convert approved product designs into:
-
Configurable IMOS logic
-
Rule-based parametric models
-
Manufacturing-ready CNC outputs
Design-to-Production Integration
-
Ensure IMOS outputs are fully aligned with factory equipment, including:
-
CNC drilling machines
-
Panel saws
-
Edge banding machines
-
Assembly lines
-
Drilling logic
-
Machining rules
-
Automated hardware placement logic
-
Minimize manual drawings, rework, and production errors through automation.
Production Efficiency & Optimization
-
Reduce material waste
-
Improve nesting efficiency
-
Shorten production cycle times
-
Support factory teams by:
-
Improving machine utilization
-
Reducing errors caused by manual or inconsistent drawings
-
Participate actively in continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.
Collaboration with Product Development Teams

Technical Product Development Engineers to validate manufacturing feasibility

Senior Product Designers to preserve design intent
-
Support new product launches by:
-
Finalizing and validating IMOS logic prior to launch
-
Testing products before mass production
Master Data & System Alignment
-
Support the creation, validation, and maintenance of:
-
Bills of Materials (BOMs)
-
Product structures
-
Hardware logic and configurations
-
Ensure IMOS data is fully aligned with:
-
ABYAT ERP / SAP systems
-
Approved Master Data standards
-
Assist IT teams with system integration and data synchronization when required.
IMOS Leadership & Standards

Act as the internal IMOS subject-matter expert within ABYAT
-
Define and enforce:
-
IMOS modeling standards
-
Naming conventions
-
Product library structure
-
Support the future training and enablement of designers and engineers on IMOS usage.
Required Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines:

Mechanical Engineering
-
Production Engineering
-
Industrial Engineering
IMOS Expertise (Mandatory)
-
Strong hands-on experience with:
-
IMOS iX CAD
-
IMOS iX CAM
-
Proven experience building:
-
Parametric furniture models
-
Rule-based product configurations
-
Solid understanding of:

CNC logic
-
Machining sequences
-
Hardware integration within automated production environments
Experience
-
4–7 years of relevant experience in:

Furniture manufacturing
-
Kitchen and/or wardrobe production
-
Direct hands-on exposure to:

CNC machines
-
Automated or semi-automated production lines
