Impact Communication Coordinator

TAKMIL (Teach A Kid Make Individual Life) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality education to out-of-school children in rural Pakistan. Since 2017, TAKMIL has been operating 150+ non-formal schools, educating over 5,000 children, and mobilizing volunteers across 10+ North American chapters. Our mission is to build a Pakistan with zero out-of-school children by 2047.

Role Overview

The Impact Communication Coordinator will serve as the strategic bridge between operational data and stakeholder engagement. This role focuses on translating field results into powerful donor narratives, coordinating chapter communications, and managing the end-to-end logistics of key organizational events.

Core Responsibilities

1. Stakeholder & Chapter Communication

  • Act as a dedicated partner to North American chapters, providing them with communication templates, scheduling assistance, and regular updates.
  • Take ownership of scheduling chapter meetings, drafting precise minutes of meetings (MoMs), and circulating action items.
  • Craft clean, compelling, and donor-centric narratives for long-form impact articles and core external updates.

2. Event Management & Logistics

  • Manage comprehensive checklists and registration pipelines for donor-facing and internal events.
  • Oversee travel arrangements, including flight search, accommodation booking, and local itinerary planning for team members and guests.
  • Partner with the creative team to secure necessary physical event collateral (banners, literature, print-outs).

3. Project Management & Data Cleanliness

  • Review and optimize donor and volunteer communication workflows to ensure minimal data gaps.
  • Proactively manage timeline milestones for concurrent community-facing events and seasonal campaigns.

Key Skills

  • Impeccable writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to summarize complex meeting points into concise action items.
  • Elite project management capabilities with strong attention to detail regarding logistical arrangements.
  • Proficiency using collaboration platforms including Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and make sound operational decisions independently.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills coupled with a process-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Business, Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in communications, stakeholder management, executive assistance, or event management.
  • Previous experience working within a non-profit organization is mandatory.

Timings: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM (Night Shift), 6 days a week (One day off; availability on weekends is required)
