Summary of the Role

As the technical lead for project implementations, the Implementation Principal Engineer works closely with the Project Manager to deliver customer‑facing software and hardware projects. You will apply strong problem‑solving, collaboration, and communication skills while supporting the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from analysis to testing and go‑live.
You will engage with stakeholders across all levels—from senior executives (C‑suite) to technical subject matter experts (SMEs)—and build effective working relationships that support successful outcomes and long-term customer satisfaction.

In This Role You’ll / Your Main Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of complex implementation projects, including planning, configuration, installation, and status reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

• Act as the primary contact for technical topics, providing clear, timely recommendations and contributing to meetings and steering committees.

• Collaborate with customers on upgrades, installations, and architectural discussions, while supporting pre‑sales presentations when required.

• Facilitate customer testing phases—including Airline Acceptance Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT)—and document functional and technical requirements.

• Conduct unit, package, and integration testing to ensure high‑quality delivery aligned with Amadeus standards, while contributing to continuous improvement and inclusive teamwork.

About the Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years’ experience with Airport Management Systems and components, such as Airport Operational Database (AODB), Flight Resource Management System (FRMS), Flight Information Display System (FIDS), and financial management tools (e.g., PropWorks), including interface configuration and Interface Control Document (ICD) creation.

• Experience working across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with cross‑functional teams such as Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Customer Service.

• Ability to build strong, inclusive working relationships with diverse stakeholders, adapting communication to different audiences.

• Comfortable taking initiative, contributing to change in a positive, future‑focused way, and working both independently and collaboratively.

• Ability to obtain a passport and travel domestically or internationally as required.
