Job Title

Implementation Project Principal Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Build and manage the implementation project core team.

Ensure coordinated action between Amadeus organization, external parties and customer implementation groups.

Centralize and follow-up technical issues.

Refine and finalize the implementation project scope with the Program manager and Sponsor.

Identify all activities necessary to produce all project deliverables.

Size the implementation project (implementation and gap activity).

Estimate and identify resources with participating line organization units.

Build and validate detailed implementation project planning.

Consolidate and follow-up implementation project planning, resources, issues.

Define and follow-up implementation reporting (reporting structure and content, etc).

Monitor project and ensure the quality of project deliverables.

Evaluate internal and external project risks and propose mitigation actions.

Communicate and report on project resources, progress, risks and costs to Program manager and Sponsor.

Escalate any issue impacting costs, project delivery timeline or scope to Program manager and Sponsor.

Support Program manager to implement CR structure for financial purposes.

Attend Customer Project Status meeting and Project Steering Committee.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Project Management experience with PMP and Agile certifications preferred.
  • Working experience in Travel Industry.
  • Master in Project Management suite of tools: MS Project or equivalent, JIRA, Confluence, Sharepoint, Office 365 and Copilot or other GenAI.
  • Project Planning & Execution: Ability to develop and manage project plans, stakeholder coordination, and risk mitigation.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication in English adapted to the audience up to top management. Capable of managing cross-functional teams and interactions with customer representative teams (Account Managers…)

  • Technical Acumen: understanding of software development cycles, product integration, and system onboarding.

  • Tools Proficiency: MS Project (or equivalent), Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot (or equivalent GenAI) and collaboration platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).

  • Documentation: Skilled in producing high-quality project documentation (e.g. in Confluence, Sharepoint), risk logs, and performance reports.

  • Leadership: Empowering team members, ensuring role clarity, and driving accountability.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating internal procedures and implementation workflows. Capable to work in a multicultural, global environment.

Good to have Skills:

  • Data analytics: a Data Analyst or a Data Scientist experience is appreciated.

  • Finance: a financial background or experience in budget management is a plus.

  • Technical background: a developer experience or an in-depth understanding of development life cycle is a plus.
