Job Title
As an Implementation Senior Engineer, you will act as the on‑site technical lead for delivering Amadeus Airport IT self-service solutions to our customers. You will work closely with the Project Manager and the Principal Implementation Engineer throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC – Software Development Life Cycle), from preliminary analysis through testing and deployment.
In this role, you will document and manage interfaces, test plans, and test cases for the products in scope, and you will take accountability for the end‑to‑end technical delivery of customer‑facing projects, especially during software implementation, testing, and go‑live phases
Lead on‑site technical delivery for project implementations, including installation and configuration activities, in close collaboration with the Principal Implementation Engineer and Project Manager.
Act as the primary technical point of contact at customer sites: provide timely advice and recommendations, share status updates, and represent the technical work in internal and external project meetings.
Apply and document technical knowledge of Airport Management Systems and components such as Airport Operational Database (AODB), Flight Resource Management System (FRMS), Flight Information Display System (FIDS), and financial management tools (e.g., PropWorks), including configuration, interfaces, and Interface Control Document (ICD) creation.
Support and facilitate testing phases such as Airline Acceptance Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT), including documenting test plans and test cases and conducting unit, package, and integration tests in line with Amadeus guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, Operations, Customer Service) to clarify customer requirements, contribute to joint product design, and support cutovers and issue resolution in a timely and customer‑focused way.
You have around 5+ years experience working on Airport and/or Airline projects related to Airport Management Systems, with an understanding of airport business processes, Airport IT, ground handlers, airlines, and the wider travel industry.
You are comfortable working in multicultural, cross‑functional environments and can contribute both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with access to support when needed.
You bring familiarity with service management concepts and processes, including incident, change, and problem management, and you use structured approaches to analyze issues and propose practical solutions.
You communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in writing and in presentations, and you can build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from technical teams to customer senior management.
You are organized in your work, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and you approach problems in a methodical, solutions‑focused way while keeping the best interests of both the customer and Amadeus in mind.
