Import Documentation Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Import-Export Documentation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, handling, and managing all documentation related to the import of goods, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company policies. This role requires proficiency in customs clearance procedures, software (such as LiveImpex, ICEGATE or similar), and attention to detail to avoid delays or compliance issues in the import process.

Qualification:

• A degree or diploma in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field. Some roles may also accept candidates with a general business background.
• Certifications related to import/export, customs clearance, or trade compliance can be an added advantage.

Work Experience:

- Prior experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or customs brokerage is highly valuable.

- Experience with documentation management in import/export processes is essential (2-5 years of experience is typically sought after).

Skills:

• Understanding of customs procedures, tariffs, and import duties.
• Familiarity with the Bill of Entry, shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Delivery Order), and other customs-related documentation.
• Knowledge of government regulations (e.g., DGFT, Customs, FSSAI, etc. if applicable).
• Proficiency in working with customs software like LiveImpex and other customs software (e.g., ICEGATE).
• Familiarity with MS Office, particularly Excel for managing document records.
• Ability to manage issues that arise during import clearance processes, such as discrepancies in shipping documents or delays in receiving DOs.
• Efficient handling of documentation processes to ensure timely clearance of goods and prevent demurrage charges.
• Excellent record-keeping and accuracy in documentation, as errors in documents can cause delays or compliance issues.
• Ability to coordinate with customs agents, freight forwarders, and shipping companies.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per year
