Key Responsibilities:
- Import and Export Coordination: Manage the entire import and export process of goods and materials, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to customs regulations, trade laws, and company policies.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain necessary documentation such as invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers for timely and cost-effective shipments.
- Shipping and Delivery Monitoring: Monitor shipments to ensure proper handling, transportation, and delivery.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve issues related to customs clearance, shipping delays, or regulatory compliance.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve import/export procedures for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Market Awareness: Stay updated on international trade policies, tariffs, and market trends.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transactions, shipments, and relevant documentation.
- Banking Coordination: Manage financial transactions related to imports and exports, including coordination with banks for payments, letters of credit, and other financial instruments required for international trade.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in import and export operations, preferably in a similar industry.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of customs regulations, international trade laws, and shipping documentation.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills; high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems.
