Job Description

Designation: Executive-Export & Import Reporting to: Head-Export & Import

Unit/ Dept.: Export & Import No. of Incumbents: 1

Location Head Office, Mumbai

Job Summary/Objective

Responsible for preparing, processing all documents and permits in compliance with customs and government regulations and maintaining records of all transactions. Assessing the products/raw materials quality for export and import and tracking shipment to ensure that they arrive at their destinations in a precise and timely manner.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Export:

  • Prepare pre-shipment & post shipment documents and forms to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures.
  • Prepare, process and maintain below documents for exports post shipment;

 Commercial Invoice

 Packing List

 Insurance Certificate

 COA

 COO if applicable

 GSP if applicable

 Bill of Lading

 Fumigation Certificate and other required documents

  • Submit documents to bank after the receipt of Bill of Lading for onward delivery to client
  • Prepare documents as per Banks and Customer requirement
  • Follow up with Bank for the document lodgment reference numbers of documents submitted
  • Ensure correct documentation for exports is prepared and maintained in a structured manner with Banking Reference No
  • Maintain export and import data documents files in physical as well as in Excel ready format
  • Co-ordinate with bank for closing import export transactions and getting Realization Certificate
  • Provide Shipping Bill and Bank Realization Certificate to the agent for availing ROA TEP Incentive
  • Good knowledge of DGFT / ICE-GATE websites
  • Knowledge of Renewal of documents i.e. IEC, RCMC, LUT NO, UIN, Factory stuffing permissions.
  • Follow-up with Customs and CHA for the Duty drawback receivables
  • Knowledge & Experience of Ocean Freight booking and have good contacts with various direct Shipping Lines
  • Knowledge and Experience of Export shipment Movements in CFS / ICD and have good contact of various CFS
  • Knowledge & experience of Factory stuffing/Dock Stuffing Export procedure and have skill to manage good relationship with factory staff, CHA, Shipping Line staff and transporters
  • Person having Export Self-Clearance experience will given first preference along with above said knowledge

Import:

  • Coordinate with CHA agents for collecting original documents from office when shipment reached port.
  • Able to prepare E-Way bill and send to CHA
  • Prepare LC Application and other required documents for LC and submit original documents to bank
  • Prepare indemnity bond for containers and after approval of Director, submit to CHA for clearing containers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to Factory
  • Good Communication Skill require to deal with transporter and have ability to find new transporter if require
  • Person having Import Self-Clearance experience will given first preference along with above said knowledge

Job Requirements

Degree(s) &Certificate(s) Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, International Trade, or related

field preferred or Diploma in Export Import Management

Experience Minimum 10-12 years of experience in end to end Export Import process and documentation

Knowledge Must be proficient in M S Office and Email

Must be good in handling digital transactions

Must have a thorough knowledge of export import documentation

Knowledge of custom duties & insurance

Knowledge of Indian and Foreign Trade Policies

Major Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Strong attention to details, organization skills, Time Management Skill

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,282.99 - ₹45,621.39 per month
