Key responsibilities
- Logistics and supply chain management: Coordinate with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods. Negotiate shipping rates and monitor shipments from origin to destination.
- Documentation and compliance: Prepare and process all necessary import and export documents, such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading. Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations, laws, and tariffs.
- Regulatory awareness: Stay up-to-date on changes in international trade regulations and policies to ensure the company's operations remain compliant.
- Record keeping and reporting: Maintain accurate and organized records of all import and export transactions and prepare reports as needed.
- Stakeholder coordination: Act as a liaison between various internal and external stakeholders, including customs authorities, suppliers, and clients.
- Problem-solving: Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping process, such as delays or customs complications.
