Import Purchase Executive

The Import Purchase Executive is responsible for handling end-to-end import procurement activities, vendor coordination, documentation, and compliance with international trade regulations to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle import purchase activities including RFQs, price negotiation, and finalization of suppliers.
• New vendor Development/Coordinate with overseas vendors for order placement, order confirmation, and delivery schedules.
• Identify and develop new overseas vendors/suppliers for raw materials, components, and consumables as per company requirements.
• Complete vendor onboarding documentation and ensure compliance with company and statutory norms.
• Prepare and manage import documentation such as Purchase Orders, Proforma Invoices, BL/AWB, Packing List, COO, Insurance, etc.
• Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
• Track shipments and follow up to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain import purchase records, vendor database, and MIS reports.
• Handle duty structure analysis, HS code classification, and cost calculation.
• Resolve discrepancies related to quantity, quality, or documentation.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Good knowledge of import procedures and documentation
• Understanding of INCOTERMS, customs clearance, and logistics
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
• Good communication and coordination skills

Qualification:

• BE/B tech in Electrical/Mechanical engg

Experience:

• 1 yearof experience in import purchase / import procurement (manufacturing industry preferred)

Preferred Industry:

• Manufacturing / Electrical / Engineering / Industrial Products
