Job Purpose
Responsible for procurement and timely closure of sourcing tasks and import-export logistics — including selecting and negotiating rates with freight forwarders and customs-house agents (CHA). Develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier selection, issue RFQs, negotiate, compare bids, generate purchase orders (POs), and follow up on payments and material deliveries, including completing required statutory documentation. Identify and drive cost-saving “leap” projects. Collaborate closely with other buyers on the team to maximize synergies.
Key Responsibilities

Managing end to end P2P activities of assigned categories.

Source potential Vendors in Exim Category, manage the request for proposal (RFP) process, and evaluate vendor proposals based on factors such as functionality, pricing, support, and contractual terms.

Creation of comparatives & Purchase orders.

Price settlement with suppliers.

Annual rate contracts.

Development of alternate Suppliers.

Supplier visits.

Maintain savings data on weekly basis.

Automation of processes & e-procurement practices.

Conversion of PR-PO.

Timely conversion of PR-PO as per defined TAT, Query Resolution, Availing quotes from suppliers, Planning, Comparative statement preparation.

Daily review of Purchase requisitions.

Co-ordination with business stakeholders for Query resolution.

Qualifications & Experience

Academic Qualification: B.Tech in IT/CS/Mechanical / Electronics / PGDIM in Supply chain, Operations.
