Import Quality Engineer - Automotive

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Quality Engineer to join our team, specifically dedicated to supporting our network of automotive distributors. This role is critical in ensuring the highest quality standards for our products in the field, promptly addressing and resolving technical and quality concerns originating from the dealer network, and acting as a vital link between field operations and internal engineering/manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in automotive systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction through robust quality support. A proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and a solid foundation in data analysis and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Distributor Interface & Concern Resolution:

• Act as the point of contact for all quality concerns raised by distributors in the MENA
• region.
• Own the concerns from inception to resolution, diligently driving root cause analysis
• and corrective actions in collaboration with the source plants.

Distributor Meeting Leadership:

• Lead weekly distributor interface meetings to review all open quality assignments, discuss progress, address roadblocks, and work collaboratively towards timely closure of all issues.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

• Prepare and present monthly quality metrics for distributor review including, providing insightful analysis of trends and performance.

Data Management & Dashboards:

• Manage & Develop the Import Quality Sharepoint, including enhancing functionality,
• making it easier for distributors to access information regularly.
• Maintain individual distributor issue trackers and dashboards to monitor the status
• of quality concerns, assignments, and key performance indicators.
• Publish weekly Distributor Interface performance Dashboard from a Regional &
• individual distributor perspective.

Assignment Follow-up:

• Proactively follow up on open quality assignments with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely completion and adherence to established timelines.

Travel :

• No intra-regional or international travel will be required. On case-by-case basis successful candidate may be required to visit the local distributor facilities in UAE.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field preferred).
• Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a role involving complex data analysis, process improvement, or engineering operations.
• Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken business English is required for effective communication with international teams and distributors.

Technical Proficiency:

• High proficiency is absolutely essential for this role, as it underpins effective data analysis, reporting, communication, and process automation.
• Must be proficient in all basic computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint, for daily operational tasks and professional communication.
• Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, include the ability to utilize Macros, Pivot tables, and conditional formulas for in-depth data manipulation and analysis.

Automation Tools: Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience with:

• Power BI: For data visualization, dashboard creation, and business intelligence.
• Alteryx: For data blending, data preparation, and advanced analytics workflows.
• Power Automate: For process automation and workflow orchestration.
• Power Apps: For developing custom business applications
