Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide personalized support and companionship to individuals in their homes or community settings. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being. As a Companion Caregiver, you will foster meaningful connections while delivering high-quality care that enhances independence and quality of life. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will make a positive difference in the lives of those you serve.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide companionship through engaging conversations, recreational activities, and emotional support
• Support medication reminders following care plans
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry
• Use proper techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe mobility and transfers
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Skills

• Independence, flexibility, good judgment, strong verbal and written communication, physiological knowledge, nutrition, ability to maintain a good client relationship, listening skills, time management, and thoroughness
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Characteristics:

• Flexible, organized, efficient, easy to talk to.

Education/Skills Requirements:

• 1) Must maintain current credentials: First Aid, TB test, and in-services.
• 2) Background check and complete a drug test and randomly thereafter.
• 3) Physically able to perform duties of the position.
• 4) General nutrition knowledge necessary for meal planning.
• 5) Good oral and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• 1) Bending, stooping, walking and general physical demands of light housekeeping.
• 2) May require some lifting.
• 3) May require longer periods of sitting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
