Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to enhance their quality of life.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary preferences and restrictions are respected.
- Monitor clients’ health status, report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Follow care plans meticulously, documenting services provided and any observations during visits.
- Ensure safety protocols are adhered to at all times, including fall prevention and emergency response readiness.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or personal caregiving is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect empathetically with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures, medication management, and safety protocols is advantageous.
- Experience working with elderly populations or individuals with chronic conditions such as geriatrics or post-acute care needs is highly valued.
- Familiarity with healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), outpatient clinics, or rehabilitation facilities enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive care.
- Ability to adapt quickly in dynamic environments, including emergency situations requiring prompt action.
- Certification in caregiving or related fields (e.g., CPR/First Aid) is a plus and mandatory; we do provide ongoing training opportunities.
