Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve through attentive, respectful, and professional care. Responsibilities

  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior
  • Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress in accordance with care plans
  • Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to ensure safe transfers and mobility support
  • Conduct regular patient monitoring to identify potential issues early and communicate findings to healthcare professionals
  • Support residents with dementia or memory care needs through engaging activities and specialized techniques
  • Uphold cleanliness standards by cleaning patient areas, assisting with laundry, and ensuring a safe environment
  • Follow all safety protocols including CPR, First Aid, and infection control procedures to protect residents and staff

Experience

  • Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or Alzheimer’s/dementia care experience highly valued
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Experience with medication administration, care planning, and patient observation techniques required
  • Familiarity with using medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or vital signs monitors preferred
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and family members
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility needs
  • Previous work in hospice or home health settings is a plus for this role
