Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their our Residential Care Facility for the Elderly. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, helping clients with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure each individual receives the highest quality of care in a respectful and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by checking vital signs, observing symptoms, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking
• Assist to administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety
• Support patients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s or dementia through specialized techniques and patience
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing
• Use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely move clients with mobility challenges
• Document care activities meticulously in compliance with HIPAA standards and care plans
• Engage in patient observation to detect early signs of health issues or behavioral changes
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement

Qualifications

• Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings preferred
• Knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring preferred
• Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s or dementia is highly desirable
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and family members
• Compassionate attitude with a passion for providing high-quality senior care and long-term support
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for community-based visits
