Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity

Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation

Administer medication reminders and monitor health status as directed by healthcare professionals

Support clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments or errands

Observe and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to appropriate healthcare providers or family members

Follow care plans meticulously to ensure all client needs are met safely and effectively

Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, incidents, and client progress in compliance with agency policies

Requirements

Prior experience in healthcare settings such as Level II trauma centers, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or similar environments is highly valued

Familiarity with diverse care settings including inpatient, outpatient clinics, post-acute care, sub-acute care, or teaching hospitals is advantageous

Experience working with geriatrics or medical-surgical patients enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive in-home care

Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or assisting with mobility safely and confidently

Certification or training related to caregiving or healthcare is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
